The Highveld Mall is an upmarket shopping mall located less than 1km off the N4 highway, and partially obscured from view by the Ridge Casino/Hotel complex. It is a safe location, with excellent parking and a good place for the hungry traveller to stop off for a break.
When you set foot inside the Highveld Mall, you realise that Witbank is a wealthy town, with lots of disposable income sloshing around. Most of the major retail stores are represented (including Woolworths, Edgars, Pick'n'Pay and Dischem) and there are at least half a dozen restaurants. There is also a cinema complex and bowling alley to keep you entertained if you're staying overnight and don't feel like sampling the dubious charms of the next door casino.
Its major attraction to the tourist is probably as a reprovisioning stop and somewhere to grab a bite to eat (I would recommend either the Mugg & Bean or the News Cafe for slightly more interesting fare). It also has a number of banks and ATMs.
