Edladleni Swazi restaurant: Authentic Homestyle Swazi Food - SOOOOO YUMMMY

by juswork

10 out of 10. The food amazing, the settings wonderful, everything was great. The only criticism was that it was a little slow, but well worth it.Place is beautiful and I really got the feeling I was in Swaziland. We had been looking for swazi food for a week or so and couldnt find it. I mean real swazi home cooked food. Luckily a local guy told us about Edladleni. Rockinghard to get there so just follow the directions on the website Peanut chicken

Simunye Country Club: An oasis of luxury in rural Swaziland

by mikelisaanna

The Simunye Country Club is a private country club that primarily caters to the managers and owners of Swaziland's largest sugar plantation and mill, which is located nearby. Although it is a private club, it is open to visitors. We happened to see its sign as we drove through the town. We had been driving and touring all day, were very hungry, and were therefore very happy to discover Simunye. The lunch was served buffet style, with a good selection of salad, carved meats, and other dishes. The meats ranged from tame (beef) to game (kudu). The staff and members were very friendly to us, and definitely made us feel welcome even though we were tourists just passing through. For children, there is a pool and playground next to the restaurant. Our daughter Anna had fun after lunch playing with the local kids.In addition to the restaurant, Simunye Country Club also has rooms in which you can...

Sambane Coffee Shoppe: Fusion Cuisine

by junecorlett

A beautiful setting at the Candle Factory. An area for children to play - with trampoline, sand-pit and a small jungle gym.Great background music from the late 60's and 70's.Full Liquor licence.BreakfastsLunchesSpecialty Coffee Machine I thoroughly enjoyed a Chocolate Chilli Fudge Cake.Beautifully presented with a sprig of Rosemary, and a dollop of icecream. The chilli flavour just pops open in your mouth. It was stronger than I expected but delicious! I would have that again. I asked for the recipe - no chance - a big secret.Pictures to follow.

Foresters Arms: Great Sunday Buffet

by junecorlett

Foresters Arms is situated in lovely mountain countryside. Mbabane (the Capital of Swaziland) is only 27km away.Colorful gardens and lush lawns sweeping down to the swimming pool, welcomes you.Charming furnishings, ols prints and in chilly weather, the roaring log fires.Apart from extensive hot and cold buffet and selection of fresh home baked bread, there is also a braai (bbq), stir-fry and delicious desserts. My favourite dishes from the buffet were - startersFresh cold salmonMusselsPrawns Main-Ox tail (delicious if you like it)A taste of the Thai chicken dish. Our guests had the sir-fry - Calamari, prawns, vegetable julienne and pineapple. There are so many dishes to choose from, I could not try them allas the oxtail is rather rich.DessertsCreme BruleHot Cape Brandy PuddingStrawberry PavlovasChocolate MousseTriflesCheescakeMany many more....

Hippo Haunt Restarant: Barbeque at night

by sachara

When we arrived at the campfire near the restaurant of the Main Camp in the reserve the ordered boar at the spit was allready done. So we had rice, milo, sauce, different salads and (for the people who liked) the meat for dinner. We enjoyed our meal and the tranquil ambiance outside the restaurant, in the middle of the nature.

Calabash: Calabash

by Rasta_Rob

One of the country's most popular restaurants (reservations essential). Owned by a pair of Germans, Calabash offers a mix of French, German, Austrian, and Swiss dishes in a very nice atmosphere. All the dishes are great, but be sure to try the local Swazi beer, Sibebe.
