    Mosquito repellent or mosquito nets

Luggage and bags: Your handbag should be just fine for your camera, sunglasses, mobile phone, wallet and passport so you don't worry about things getting stolen while you're moving around.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Closed shoes if you don't want sand or small stones to bother you.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring toilet paper and lots of facial tissues just to make sure that you'll be fine. If you don't like to get much tan, bring a sunblock with you.

Photo Equipment: Bring a charger with you because you can not resist taking lots of photos in Tanzania particularly if you do game-driving!

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: I brought a sleeping bag just in case we get lost in the forest/park but I did not use it because the vehicles have to leave the park before closing time. I felt good though to know that I will not chill in case we get stuck in the forest/park.

    Packing List

by Jacksprat Written Aug 26, 2002

Luggage and bags: In most cases I would certainly recomend taking a rucksack. They are comfortable to carry and easy to tie onto the top of the taxi or bus.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: In summer...cool clothes, but if you're going to rural areas, make sure that you dress appropriatelly... ie women - covered knees and shoulders.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Yup, once again - toilet paper! Only because the paper that is on sale is more like soft newspaper and not very nice to use if you've had a bad stomach 3 days runnings!

Photo Equipment: It's possible to buy film, but I suppose if you've got it with you, then it's one less thing to worry about.

Luggage and bags: anything that can hold enough clothes for your stay, remember you'll want to change your shirt twice a day since it gets pretty hot and sweaty here. Remember all the mosquitoes, and it'll be a laugh

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: nothing special, you're not going to be in a jungle but a city, swim gear and some nice shirts are usefull though

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: malaria profylax, and all the other vaccinations, consult our doctor for that information.

Photo Equipment: Digital camera parts and stuff might be difficult to get and advanced technological parts that might need to be changed should be brought but anything else is available.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: mosquitoes, stay somewhere safe, and acceptable, don't just go camping anywhere, it must be a site which is not privately owned unless you have the owners consent.

Miscellaneous: have fun when you're here
