Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A fleece for your stay on the crater before sunrise; good hiking shoes.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: * Walking stick is essential but quite easy to find in the bush. Professional poles are even more useful.
* A strong torch and spare batteries, preferably one for on your head.

Miscellaneous: Bring a lot of water, maybe even 2 or 3 litres. It all depends the time that you come down and your fitness.

Around 10AM you will get the intensely burning sun on your head, if you have no water anymore you can run into probs easily as there's no shelter (according to our guide he has to temporary leave climbers behind now and then who are exhausted and have no water left ).
