Favorite thing: One of the things I love most about West Africa, is the colours. The people dress in brightly coloured cloth, with a vivacious flair and everything is bright and cheerful.
Fondest memory: My local camera club has a photographic competition every your called the Bucket Competition. The only criteria to enter is that the shot must include a picture of one or more buckets. In 1996, I entered this photograph!

Favorite thing: The Gambia has a lot of natural beauty and there are beautiful birds and butterflies and flowers galore. A good idea is to take hike in the rainforest Abouko nature reserve to see rare red Colobus monkeys. Take lots of DEET!
