You can go to the river bank and watch the north bank in the Lamin Koto side. This river is very beautiful and is full of hippos. you can ask people to take you there paying a bit of money you will agree BEFORE YOU GO! remember that. also remember the majority of the youngters that make their living as guides are only interested in smoking drug so also be careful.

This is for sure the most cheerful and beautiful house in the whole island of janjanbureh. You have this house painted in sky pattern, looking so bright and nice on the dirt roads and gree vegetation around the area.

People say this was the biggest slave house in upper river bank, but it seems that this now big roofless barn was probably no such thing, more likely like a warehouse for goods to be taken down and up the river.

This seems to be the city most important monument to locals. This is the garden that represents the people's freedom from colonial times. You have a tree on the centre of the garden that simbolizes the growing life as free people.
