Apart from the local dancing which is laid on, there is no nightlife to speak of at Janjanbureh. One of my favourite nighttime activities on any holiday, is to watch the sunset. Here in the Gambia, it was a wishy-washy affair, as the air was so full of dust, but it was still rather pretty.

In the evening, some people from the local village came to entartain us with a dance display. Of course we were invited to take part too, which caused much hilarity.
