Favorite thing: The sunsets all over the Gambia and the Senegal were very diffused and delicate rather than spectacular, as a result of the amount of dust particles hanging in the air.

Favorite thing: I love the brightly coloured and flamboyant outfites that the women wear in this part of the world. They look so striking and so much more confident that western women do.

The Gambia's second city, Serekunda has a greater population than Banjul. An estimated 100,000 people live here, and the crowds throng through the streets. We didn't spend any great amount of time......
