The African restaurant "Free Time" is located at the southwest end of Boulevard du 13 Janvier. There are 3-4 other outdoor African restaurants in this block along the boulevard, but they are all best known as "Fifty-Fifty", named after the first restaurant. However Free Time Bar Restaurant had the best food. This was my favorite eating place due to the quality and price. The location is also among the best in Lome.

Restaurant Le Triskell is among the finest french restaurants in Lomè. Their speciality is typical french cuisine, pasta and pizza made in a stone oven. The restaurant is inside a garden with some animals in a cage. Also a big turtle was in the pool beside the tables. The prices are high to be in an African country.

Le Festival des Glaces is a popular restaurant chain with restaurants in Cotonou, Lomè, Douala and Dakar. They have bakery, pizzeria and ice cream as the speciality. The food and the prices attract tourists and the local middle class. The warm streets of Lomè makes this aircondion restaurant even more popular.

Al Donald Fast Food Restaurant is mentioned in the Lonely Planet Guide because it look like a McDonalds restaurant. The name and signboard is almost like it, and it's kind of funny. Fastfood is their speciality, but don't expect it to be as fast as McDonalds. This is a good place to have a meal if you arew tired of African food. The price of a burger with french fries and coke is about 3 USD. The restaurant owner is a young Lebanese man.

The restaurant at Hotel le Galion is recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide. Althought the hotel is a budget place, the restaurant is not among the cheapest places to eat. But the french food is great. Hotel le Galion is located in a back street of the southwest end of Boulevard du 13 Janvier.

After checking in to the Equateur Hotel, I hit this rooftop restaurant. The service was friendly and laidback. Birds flew straight through the place, as it is open air with a thatched roof. There is a bar and a nice patio area to relax in also..very nice. The food is good, the music listenable, and the breeze refreshing.
Favorite Dish: The chicken in groundnut sauce.

As I entered Keur Rama, the manager welcomed me, then thankfully blasted all air-con units..sweet relief from the heat outside! Food was great, service attentive...thumbs up!

All the guidebook go on about how great this place is. It's basically just glorified street food. It's an outside(beside a busy road) joint for grilled meats. I ordered the chicken and was disappointed with what arrived.....a bunch of gangly, gristle and bone with little of the juicy meat I was expecting. For the price you could do much better.
Favorite Dish: Nothing I had was very good.

L-Mezze is slightly outside the city center on the beach road. It's a nice, welcoming place where you will be well taken care of. The food is well prepared and delicious. The manager(the big guy) is a real character!
Favorite Dish: It's all good...you can't go wrong here.
