Though there is little or no public transport to Chebika, the town still attracts plenty of visitors, most of whom arrive in hired 4W drives from Tozeur. Despite these visitors, Chebika is still in some ways untouched or untainted by tourism and there are neither accommodation options nor restaurants for visitors. There are a couple of cafes and souvenir shops beside the old town, and the guy selling bottled water here does a great trade but that's about it.
