Restaurant at Hotel Megara

There are some great restaurants to be found along the coast and in the upper end hotels. At our hotel, you could see the fisherman out at sea, gathering fresh seafood for dinner. Don't be surprised to find some egg and sea food on your pizza 'Tunisian'. Harissa with bread, lots of seafood, and couscous! Vegetarians may not have much variety here. The fruit juice (strawberry/pear/peach) is wonderful, as well as the creamy desserts. Skip the milkshakes. Our order returned as a glass of milk with a large ice cube!

When you are in Tunusia spare some time and visit the local cafees.. Have some tea and/or try some waterpipe.. We have been to Cafe Sidi bou hidid in Hammamet.. it was very nice with all those people inside... enjoy the unusual but nice environment..

The restuarant is very pretty down by the marina, you could be seated indoors as well as outdoors, this restaurant is rated 4 star, yet it is SO cheap!!! you get treated really well here, waiters are very friendly and the food is delicious!! you also get some yummy starters and a herbal tea on the house! - great :) STEAK! (They serve local as well as international food)

The tunisian food is nice. The only problem I had is that in the so-called fast food, in any kind of a sandwich they put tuna-fish. For all of you who like it, well you will have enough...: )))Lots of great fruit in the markets.In case you cannot handle local food - The HOUSE is a restaurant that offers great italian food. I really liked that one. KOUSKOUS... it really is good. I liked the combination with vegetables.I tried something called Brik... something like that. It was pretty interesting!

The restaurant is built inside the rock at the foot of the old berber village. it doesn't look too clean, to be fair, but it's the only one there. Cats roam around the restaurant, and yet the food is so wonderfully good. Cous-cous. it really was the best i've eaten in Tunisia. And the dessert: corne de gazelle - excellent - and ultra-sweet. If you visit the Medina of Tunis and are looking for something cheap and good to eat, why not choose a sandwich. The place we went to is just a few steps away from the main tourist road but only tunesian people eat here. (which is generally the best evidence for good and inexpensive food). You have to speak french here. Tuna sandwich, but be careful with taking Harissa, it is VERY hot but it contributes to the good taste. You can choose here between many ingredients and you will pay less than one Dinar (70 US-cents)

Restaurant du peuple is a very nice restaurant which is just a mixture between a tourist place and a local's restaurant. The owner is one of the nicest tunesian people we met, he is very proud of his restaruant. Eat Cous-cous, but the other meals are also good. If you take fish you get to choose the one you want.
