All the fun at the beach.

by cazz38

In all the resorts in Tunisia there are lots of watersports to suit any age, just walk along the beaches and the locals will tell you what they can offer you from Para sailing, jet ski's,the banana boat, they even have a sofa you sit on while being towed by a speedboat. All the prices are quite cheap as well. They do provide life jackets for you.

~ Quad Biking ~

by Heavens-Mirror

Quad biking with 4x4 Quads is a great wat to explore & discover your resort the exciting way. We did it for only 29 Dinars per person (Only ?12 Sterling). You go out for 2 hours & explore the local area, its great fun for any ages including the whole family. For over 16's only. Wear a good pair of shoes that wont slip off & also something to cover your arms as it does get windy when riding the Quads even though the weather is nice. The Quad centre provide you with safety helmets, gloves & also elbow pads.

SADDLE UP!!

by mickeyjane1

THIS IS EXTREMELY POPULAR IN TUNISIA WITH MANY HOTELS AND RESORTS OFFERING IT.THERE ARE ALSO SOME SPECIALIST GROUPS WHO DO TOURS ON HORSEBACK. OLD CLOTHES, LONG TROUSERS ARE BEST, NOT ALL PROVIDE RIDING HATS SO MAY BE WISE TO CHECK FIRST.

Jetskiing

by grets

Jetskiing is available from the beach and is good fun. Do however take care, as we saw an accident where a water skier in the water was run over by a jet skier. She wasn't serriously hurt, only a cut hand, but it could have been so much worse. The picture shows my parents on a jet ski built for two. They ran out of petrol way out at sea and had to be rescued by the ski boat.

Scuba Tabarka

by bpwillet

Scuba diving is not new to this area though only two main companies run scuba trips from its harbor. The area is great for any type of diver beginner, advanced or if you just want to try it out. Our group went out beyond the Genoese fort and down to some rocks about 40 feet. The visability is weather dependant but very good on our trip. There are many fish to be seen and at times are very docile to the amount of large strange looking "fish" swimming about them. No luck on red coral, that is about 75 meters down. The equipment was provided for us as well as the divemaster. They were all PADI certified and very professional. It may be best to pay for two dives at once that way that is taken care of. The slots fill up quickly and it seems that their last dive is typically around 3pm. So arrive early.

walking in the desert

by call_me_rhia

The desert is nothing like one would imagine - how can I explain? You have to walk through it, even if only for a couple of hours. The sand's much finer than I could have guessed, it got through everything and stayed there. After washing my socks 3 times, each time I took them off I still found sand on my feet. Then there is silence, peace. I walked for several hours and felt regenerated and pure. There's also more life than expected: lone bushes, the odd nomadic family, and even a few foxes. No sign of the infamous snakes and scorpions. waterbottle, compass for longer walks (and a map), possibly hiking-boots to protect yourself from the occasional snake ot scorpion. And please do not wear contact lenses - sand in your eyes is a real killer

Paragliding

by grets

After being strapped into a parachute, you get hooked up to a rope which is attached to a boat. The boat pulls off and you travel high skywards. Great fun and fine views of the beach area below.
