Performance in the village

Favorite thing: I love how in Iganga district, no matter where you are, there is a little child watching you and waiting for you to make eye contact so he can scream "Muzungu how are you!" and dissolve into giggles.

I love how in Iganga district, the older ladies take your hand very gently and whisper "Weebale nnyo..."

I love how in Iganga District, they have every kind of goat, every shape and color. They proudly tell you that you must try their food, "it is tasteless! You will like it."

The most important activity is finding a group of children in a village (all you have to do is show up, a group will form), and blowing bubbles, letting the children pop them.

Fondest memory: I miss the people, mostly.

I miss eating a chapati with sugar for every meal (but not really). :-)

I miss knocking a mango off the tree with a rock and then eating it while I'm on a hike through the 'garden'.

I miss seeing the song and dance performances and watching the men sweat as they bang on the xylophone and make those fabulous tones.
