Life along the road
There is a weekly market in one of the villages, and for miles we see women walking along the road with their wares in a basket on their heads and men with baskets hanging from a long stick. The market is a colourful affair with the goods spread out along the ground in one area, and cattle being sold in another part of the village. The road continues to climb on sandy tracks with sharp hairpin bends, vertical drops and stunning scenery. Fortunately there is very little traffic, even though this is the main road leading out of Uganda to Rwanda and Congo.
