The norm in Uganda is to order your dinner a few hours before you actually want to eat it, so we choose our food before wandering over to the swimming pool area where some traditional Ugandan dancing is taking place. Uganda has many different folk dances, each telling a story or representing daily activities. The music is great, with a good drum beat and the performers have some super movements – but I’m afraid the ultra-fashionable trainers put me off completely!
