The Oasis looks a bit on the rough side but it is still my favourite place for a pint in Soroti. I always had a laugh in the bar the waitresses were always well chatty and If I remember rightly the beer was a tad cheaper here than other boozers in town.
Remember to hold your nose when you go for a short call though!

One of my favourite boozers in Soroti.
Darts and pool are big the Bisina and not surprisingly also popular is English Premier league footie (when the power is on in town). Even if the TV is on the bar man manages to play some top Lingala tunes while the volume is turned down on the box.
The conversation is always good in the Bisina even after a good few bevies unlike my local back home where you'd be lucky to get a grunt out of some of the punters propping up the bar.
Come nigh time the pavement outside is dotted with lots of street food being cooked on roadside "karais"sizzling away on charcoal stoves. Infact the over powering smell in the area is of fried fish but it is also possible to get fried muhogo, chips, and the ever present "rolex".

Soroti does sometimes rock especially now that it can boast its own Night Club. The locals here seem to be well chuffed that they now have Trends disco in town, which is open on Friday and Saturday......
