After we passed the Mauritanian-Moroccan border, having problems and delay, because we missed an essential paper, we were allowed to enter the country. At that moment we had still to drive another hour to reach the only hotel along the road. And it was night, a real dark night in the middle of the desert.
After one hour we saw the lights of Barbas, our hotel, but it was also a nice bar and restaurant. We were surprised to see the pleasant terrace with a a huge green parasol. And most of the tables were occupied with eating and drinking people.
We ourselves had a great dinner of chicken tajine and a cold drink.
Informal and shabby no problem at all
