O'Hagan's Irish Pub is my favourite eatery in Lusaka. It belongs to the South African O'Hagan's chain. O'Hagan's is the only place in Lusaka to serve Guinness and other excellent Irish beers. The atmoshphere is relaxed and there is a TV for watching football and other sports. In Lusaka, Zambia there are several very good Indian food restaurants in town. My favorite was Shenai, located in Northmead, off of Great East Road. They were closed on Mondays, but every other night, the food was all right! It's just really good Indian food. Although, I have some Indian friends in Lusaka who say Dani's (in Longacres at the end of Independence Avenue) is better and that Shenai is 's**t'. I disagree.
I used to get chicken Mukhanwala with plain yogurt and three garlic naan. Very nice. Double gin & tonic, and we're all set. A typical bill was ten USD, and I always left satisfied. Not many. The Greek restaurant in Kitwe has a pasta buffet on Wednesday nights. The VIP is a good place. Not much else. Theme: Other

This restaurant is actually attached to the hotel I stayed at. And since the tab was picked up for this too, I didn't hesitate to EAT ON UP!! The dishes were very well made. I ate there several times for dinner and was pleased with pretty much everything I ate. They even serve a little game meat. I am not sure if it changes over time, but I had impala. They also prepare "traditional" Zambian sauces with several of the dishes as well. It's well worth eating at if you want a great meal.

In the midst of the dusty barron streets of Lusaka, Chit Chat stands out as a true success. With romantic outdoor seating, a diverse menu that include both the familiar and the exotic, and a friendly staff, Chit Chat is a must for visitors to Lusaka. On the winter evening we spent at Chit Chat the weather was nice and sitting outside with the stand-up heaters was perfect. The menu consists of many items that you might find at a standard Americana restaurant -- wraps, sandwiches, pizza, but also has a surprising list of Pan-Asian cuisine, including stir fry, etc. For Lusaka, the prices are somewhat high - expect to pay $15 per person with drinks.
I really enjoyed the Chicken Teryaki wraps with potato wedges. Theme: OtherPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Omela Mumba RdPhone: 234324

Located down the street from the Intercontinental and next to the BP station, this upstairs eatery is a real find amidst all of Lusaka's Indian restaurants. It is quiet and cozy and has a few tables on the balcony overlooking a main shopping area.

Boasting a Creole menu this place has plenty of atmosphere and the best pepper steak in town. Its a real businessman's dinner club and open to the public.

The Terrace is in a very good location in the center of Lusaka, at the Lusaka Hotel on Cairo Road and serves grill foods and snacks. The athmosphere is nice and the poolside location great. However, the meal I ate was one of the worst ones I've ever eaten in a restaurant.
