It is law than no one can walk...

by ngaka

It is law than no one can walk on the streets after 22:00 until 06:00, this is an offence. If caught by the police you will probably have to negotitate a bribe. Usually K10,000 will suffice. They won't really hesitate to lock you up for the night if you are not forthcoming in giving them a little something. It is much easier to take one of Lusaka's night time taxi's which is an experience in itself.

Road Blocks

Always carry an open packet of cigarettes in your car even if you don't smoke. They are very usefull when stopped by the police or army at road blocks.

The path, at the left, along the falls, goes through the Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe. There are excellent viewpoints, but the water mist makes you wet: take care of your camera!

Photography. Do NOT take photos around government officials or government buildings. I was even told to put my camera away when we were approaching the post office.
