This place is definitely not for the ignorant and arrogant and does not suit the tame and weary. If you are an off the beaten track traveller this is the only place to get a meal after 12 o'clock at night. Be it late night munchies after a wild night out or some of those munchies that one gets as a youth celebrating the fact of being young and free and enjoying some of Mbanje in your youth hostel, hotel room or hosts house. Its ironic actually, behind the food court is the best place in the country to buy some good blaze:) Watch out this place is the shark tank of the country and you must be shrewd!! But if you go with the right attitude you will see a very different side of this wonderful country, you will meet some fascinating people. Look for a seven year old street kid called David. He has been living around this area since he was orphaned at 3. Do a good deed for the day and give him a piece of chicken! This is a great place but not for the tame or naive!
Since you are there I would go for a combination of all three of the outlets namely Chicken, Pizza and Bakers Inns. Get some chicken pieces and some medium chips which are huge compared to world standards and are not horrible, processed, Mcdonalds chips. Have a look at the Pizzas the ingredients are limited, safest bet is a Hawian Pizza, lastly buy some freshly baked delicious full wheat brown bread for the morning. This is a great restaurant, unfortunately closed on Sunday nights, so I missed out this time because I left Zim the next day. My colleagues who stayed on went the next night and had a great time and enjoyed the surroundings and the food.

If a Chinese guy recommends it then heck it must be good. A busy place (open on Sunday nights) with a large selection of Chinese food, although on the night we went a few items weren't available. Staff are friendly service is fast.

This is a great place. It is set in a good location, Enterprise road, Harare. There is a cool vibe, lots of different people from all social groups of the nation. A great place to set up a million dollar business deal, get out of trouble with the law, have an awesome afternoon with friends or even suitable for a romantic date. Shangri-La is a place for everyone. Best plan is: go on a Friday afternoon with some mates eat some delicious meals, sit outside in the sun drinking local beer and imported Cape wines, stay as late as possible and enjoy...
Definitely the Pekin duck and Crispy duck. Its the only proper duck in the nation and the ducks are all organically reared, Pekin duck imported from South Africa. World class! Someone took me to this place and it was fairly interesting. You fill your bowl with whatever ingredients you want and then the cook will make it for you in front of your eyes, Manchurian style. It wasn't anything highly unusual, but it was pretty good. by RblWthACoz Man do I love food. Better yet, I love good food. So when I got to go to the Blue Banana, I was more than pleasantly surprised at what was delivered. I was with a huge group, so there was one of almost everything (it's served family style) and it was all equally good. I didn't find a few dishes that were good and the others were "okay". Everything was well made with a unique and excellent flavor. If, for some reason, you are in Harare and you want a good restaurant to eat at, I don't think I will be able to send you to a better place than this.
