  • Beer in Zimbabwe

Zambezi beer is the National beer in Zimbabwe. But there are also other brands, like Lions beer. It taste good. A beer in Zimbabwe costs usually less than 1 USD.

  • Wild Thing!

Wild Thing is so tacky it is good. It gets very crowded but you always know that you can get cheapish drinks and a good dance. The music is conventional chart/dance and a good time is guarenteed. Really anything seems to go, but probably best to go smart/casual, as they do have door staff.

  • Dance the night away!

Cool by Western standards, and very cool by African standards.. A great mix of people flock here, for a great mix of music and atmosphere... Themed on a London Tube Station, hence the name. Smart casual and they are pretty strict.

  • Jazz in Bulawayo!

This is probably one of the best, and safest places in Bulawayo to enjoy a night out, a great jazz club, offering great music and a lively atmosphere. Should be smart casual, but I don't think they are too concerned, no open toe shoes though...

Well. In Zim , I don't think that there are to many clubs to go to. Maybe a few in the major cities. Nightlife in Zim consists of sitting around a fire , 'braaing' (Like a Barbaque) meat and talking about the fish that got away. If you meet the locals at any spot in zim , just don't try and drink them under the table , THEY are HARD CORE drinkers....

  • Playing 'laser wars' in Harare...

Playing 'laser wars' in Harare with your friends is not something I expected to happen in a third world country. But its great! Its a play, where you are running around, trying to shoot your friends with a laser dot from your 'gun'. After 5 minutes you are completely exhausted, so be prepared. If you are shot, it is completely painless (not like in...

Well, not really night, but I would highly recommend the sundowner cruises, where you can cruise down the Zambezi river and see the plume of mist from Vic Falls, and the occasional sightings of hippos, crocs and elephants while eating local snacks and tanking local beers (sodas for kids, of course)Pictured are my friend, Tammy, and her kids and the...

The afternoon should start with a sundowner at the safari lodge or even a sunset cruise on the upper zambezi (above victoria falls ). Nightlife is to start at the bars in downtown victoria falls. Firstly the explorers bar is the best then later that night downtime nightclub is the place to be. All the drinks are inexpensive and all the locals hang...

No nightlife in Mutare. But you can take a tour of The Vumba. Ask at the guesthouse. Anne knows. It's reasonable and the guide is nice. Plus, no one is there to go on it. I think we were the first ones in several months. It's about $7 for the whole day.But be warned, some things may not be open, but you still pay the same price. Take you bags and...

Harare has a number of pubs, clubs and discos. A place to meet people and where the average Zimbabwean hangs out is the Sandrock Cafe on Julius Nyerere Way. It has a sidewalk seating and cheap Zambezi beer served in a bottle. Women alone or the more sophisticated crowd could try the place next door on the corner. Prices are double and shirt with...
