The afternoon should start...

by fisheagle

The afternoon should start with a sundowner at the safari lodge or even a sunset cruise on the upper zambezi (above victoria falls ). Nightlife is to start at the bars in downtown victoria falls. Firstly the explorers bar is the best then later that night downtime nightclub is the place to be. All the drinks are inexpensive and all the locals hang out too so any info needed about trips could be exchanged. T shirts and bathing costumes as it will get very hot inside there.

No nightlife in Mutare. But you can take a tour of The Vumba. Ask at the guesthouse. Anne knows. It's reasonable and the guide is nice. Plus, no one is there to go on it. I think we were the first ones in several months. It's about $7 for the whole day.But be warned, some things may not be open, but you still pay the same price. Take you bags and stay at the Ndu Ndu Lodge while you're out there. They'll drop you off and you can hitch back. At night you can lounge around in their gorgeous guesthouse. See accomodation. This photo is from a hill we walked up and saw Mozambique.

Explorers bar in Vic Falls. ...

Explorers bar in Vic Falls. Watch the river rafting guides try to pick up the women. Good music, lots of beer and a racous good time. Don't go here for a quiet drink. Teva style sandals, rafting or bungy T-shirts, scars received during the days activities on display.

by SANVAN

Harare has a number of pubs, clubs and discos. A place to meet people and where the average Zimbabwean hangs out is the Sandrock Cafe on Julius Nyerere Way. It has a sidewalk seating and cheap Zambezi beer served in a bottle. Women alone or the more sophisticated crowd could try the place next door on the corner. Prices are double and shirt with collar is a must unless you know the owner. It has a nice patio and club like atmosphere. The British pubs are home to the local white community and although a bit on the expensive side a good place to hang out. Shirt with collar is a must and a tie preferred. The keg & sable in Borrowdale is a real pub with Guiness on tab. They serve a great fish and chips. Shirt with collar is and a tie for a club or disco and shirt wit collar any other place except bars at the bottom end.

Zambezi beer is the National beer in Zimbabwe. But there are also other brands, like Lions beer. It taste good. A beer in Zimbabwe costs usually less than 1 USD.

by Lynse

A great night was had hear by most of the members of our tour. The local girls taught us how to dance properly. And the locals who accosted us were very quickly ousted from the club. Anything goes

The Kingdom Hotel: Worth the time to walk through

by kathyceo

This place was over the top, casino, open air restaurant with african dancers, outdoor bar, hotel, etd. Very contemporary in approach, looked like it belonged in Las Vegas. Casual to dressy
