A lovely setting with a spectacular view across a valley to mountains, with thatched seating outside if you need to wait for yourcompanions or arrive early for your reservation. I ate there with a large group, which they accommodated by serving buffet-style in our private dining room. The day we were there the buffet included soup (creamy vegetable) cooked in a traditional African pot, roast beef, and a local fish – Bream; choice of rice, potatoes, carrots, and broccoli; and desserts of fruit, apple pie, and cake. Coffee and tea were served afterward, which many took out to the glassed in terrace with the view.
Favorite Dish: Be sure to order a Malawi Shandy - a combination of lemonade and ginger ale, with a dash of bitters - that comes elaborately ornamented with fruit, cucumber slices, and a fresh flower.

This place is beautiful, groomed, and refined. We went for lunch and it was quite overpriced, but relaxing as we watched the baboons on the manicured lawns with the bungee jumping bridge in the distance.

Address: Center of town has a sign, 1/4 mile down the stree
There are good restaurants and Inns on your way down the roads.....It's always good to have a snack outside while having a look over the fence for game ....
One of the best hotels in Victoria Falls, the Elephant Hills offers you a buffet dinner with nearly everything! I tried the Kudustew there and loved it! Unfortunately there was no croc on the menu that evening :(
Favorite Dish: Most of the restaurants serve traditional food, next to little snacks like sandwiches etc. In the more expensive restaurants you will also find a very British menu....

At the main camp in Hwange National Park was a restaurant for snacks, a good meal and drinks. There was also a shop, but we took our breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant. At lunchtime, when we sat outdoors on the terrace, this bird was our regular visitor, looking if there was someting to eat.

The day after we arrived in Zimbabwe, at the end of our South Africa trip, we enjoyed a 50-km drive through the countryside outside Harare. We stopped at the small town of Marondera to enjoy a really nice open air complex that included craft stores, a rose garden, horses and a restaurant. It was quite enjoyable to wander around under the African sun and just take it all in! We had a very nice lunch here before heading back into Harare. Near the end of our visit, we also went out for an evening meal at a restaurant in Harare itself. The three of us enjoyed our main course meals with wine as well as desert for 210 Zim $. For the traveller, the prevailing exchange rate means this evening out cost US$20 total (and that was in 1995 before things further de-valued). Now that is a good deal!

Being a quiet place and very rustic looking.
I would suggest anyone to stay there. They do
give you much food. I had the sea-food dinner
that first night. Had to leave the next morn. for our safari. The ZIMBABWE WINE, I'll just
say: "Glad our guide brought some with us!"
Favorite Dish: The sea-food. It just tastes so different then
what I have at home.
