Fun things to do in Heard Island and McDonald Islands

Nice place, bit remote for some but if you get the chance to drop by be it on a yacht or with an expedition it is worth it. Apart from the King Penguins and other wildlife the active volcano Big Ben and the glacier on it slope are worth looking at. Also the old whaling station near the Spit. The surf here is good but didn't give it a try but for the more adventurous with thermo wet suits.....
