Getting there
If you are thinking about going to South Georgia there is only one way to get there and that is by ship. There is no airstrip on South Georgia.Visiting the South Sandwich islands is even more difficult not only is there no airstrip there is no harbour either. Landings may be possible from zodiacs (inflatable motor dinghy) if the seas are calm enough. Visits to the South Sandwich Islands are VERY rare.
