Bangladesh is a moslem...

by EskiMoe

Bangladesh is a moslem country, even though other religions are tolerated. You should behave with courtesy, and especially women should dress in a way that cover up shoulders and legs.Alcohol is generally not available, except for the two big hotels. Some restaurants and guest houses will readily provide beer, though, if you ask for it. This they get from the black market. It is perfectly OK to bring your own alcoholic drinks to any restaurant. Foreigners can buy alchol in a special shop in Dhaka. Most of the 'private' clubs where expats, business people and expats hang out do serve alchol, but you normally need to befriend a member to get in.

Visitor Visa for Bangladesh

Do yourself a favour and apply for a visa in your home country. I am British and I applied for a visa in Kolkata which took a couple of days but it was a little hassle picking up my visa.
