Teva or similar brand rubber/plastic sandals that stay on in the mud.Black or gray trainers or light hiking shoes (not boots!) that serve as city shoes, office shoes and forest hike shoes.Small, collapsible umbrella against the sun and rainshower. Mosquito repellent. Slides film Telephoto lens for people photography (can be difficult in Bangladesh) Decent bathing gear for Cox's Bazaar. GSM mobile telephone; B'desh has several providers and very good coverage. Bring as many clothes, (or anything you have which you don't need) to give away to the orphanages, as you can. They are grateful for anything you can give them. Experiecing poverty here makes you feel quite humble, it puts the bombay slumbs to shame. Because of the poverty I found Bagaladesh quite a harrowing experience. This is the only place I have experienced agressive people, en masse. I had never come across that before, nor since.

Don't forget this:-mosquito net-washing line-medication for stomach-problemsAlso, bring something like extra-adhesive tape, that you can use to set up the mosquito nets. Depending on where you chose to stay, there may not be any hooks or similar asvailable to fasten the net otherwise.
