Rangamati is a district in South-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Kaptai has Bangladesh's only hydro-electric project. The Kaptai Dam on the Karnaphuli River created for this purpose resulted in the Kaptai Lake. and this lake made Rangamati one of the best travelling place. its a beatiful place, people are mostly tribal and from my experience very honest. while u r visiting Rangamati u have 2 save one day for travelling by boat in the Kaptai lake while u can watch all the interesting places in Rangamati. go to the place name Reserve Bazar from where u have to hire the boat for the whole day. the places that will cover ur boat trip are - Bonbihar, Rajbari, Pedatingting Pahar, Vedvedi Pahar, Buddhist Temple, Shuvolong Waterfall. and all through the way u will enjoy the natural beauty of the city. also dont forget to visit the hanging bridge in Rangamati as the natural beauty around is awesome.

Whenever you think to visit Rangamati, please arrange extra time to explore on boat on the Kaptai Lake. The view is really wonderful. It is better to visit there in Winter (November - February). Otherwise, it might be raining.
