photo found on the net by Bonobo2005 I know it's a shame, but I recommend Wimpy, burgers and fries. Just in case you need to treat yourself for 1 time!! Funnily, this is an relatively upmarket restaurant. Prices comparable with the West. You can see the local chique eating here! There's some nice restaurants there, mostly indian style and chinese. The food is good, and very cheap. You shouldn't drink the water though, unless you're certain it's a bottle with the original water inside. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

There are plenty of street side food stalls where you can dine on the local cuisine..so take your pick. Speaking of pick..if you happen to be a picky eater or just crave a cold $5 USD Foster's beer you will have to head out to the Sheraton Hotel. Bangladesh is an Islamic country and you won't find beer anywhere except for an inflated price at the Sheraton Hotel. They also have a Western menue offering pizza & other artery clogging goodies from the West. Airconditioned. Even if you aren't paying top dollar to stay here (believe me I wasn't staying there) its a good place to come ease the culture shock you may be experiencing or load up on some serious calories (all that sweating you'll do you'll need to gain some calories back).
Foster's Beer....it was easy paying $10 USD for two beers considering it was unavailable anywhere else in Dhaka (as far as I knew). Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: On the corner of Kazi Nazrul Islam Road & Minto RoadOther Contact: 861-1191

Bread makers on the road to Nasirnagar, Bangladesh by janchan The street restaurants are the most common way to eat in Bangladesh, they offer all sorts of typical and usually genuine food... and for a risible price... In the picture... bread makers on the way between Dhaka and Nasirnagar... Leave a Comment Theme: Street Vendor

by EskiMoe Very nice atmosphere. A little break from the crowds. Bring your own beer, and enjoy good company as long as you want (for a little extra tip).
The self composed 'Norwegian Hot' Pizza. You won't find it on the menu, but all the waiters will happily serve you. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Circle 2 in the Gulshan area. Everyone knows it.

To me, the best 3 ice cream parlours in Bangladesh are: Club Gelato Baskin Robbins Movenpick All the 3 are well decorated the staffs in there are cordial enough. Located in mostly posh areas of the city, these parlours will provide u with the best atmosphere to enjoy ur ice cream :) You can learn more about all the ice cream shops in n around dhaka city from the below link: http://svr87.edns1.com/~starnet/lifestyle/2004/07/03/centre.htm

The restaurant is bright, clean, it has nice surroundings, good service, good food. It is owned by the Kana Kazana chef on TV, the food was not too spicy or hot either. A good place to eat, especially the buffet.
All the dishes were good and gave my fragile foreign stomach no problems at all. Leave a Comment Theme: IndianComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Gulshan, DhakaDirections: On the main road.
