I came across this workshop while I was searching for a "dark room" to open up my camera to fix it.
What to buy: Yatras are colorful strips of cloth. It can be used in everything from blankets, jackets to tea table cloth.
I bought two pieces, very colorful, and used them effectively in the trekking and camping trip in Himalayas as a scarf before sleeping and as blankets while sleeping. And now back home, they are my tea table cloth, the most distinct decoration in the room.
What to pay: 1200NU (about US$27) for a long piece (360cm, I bought it and had them cut into two pieces)
