by Rhys_Jones

Go to the labbi road waterfall. It is a 2 hr hike into the jungle. At the end is a great waterfall and cliff to jump off with only you abd your friends around to enjoy it. I miss the friends i made and all the mischief we got up to.(smoking dope when you get the death sentance if caught!!)

Do the museum to see ostentatiousness of monarcy. You will come out realising that while the Sultan might be one of the richest men in the world, he actually lives in a filthy little town. After that, do you have the stomach to visit his mosque? Honestly, the only real gem of Bandar Sri Begawan are the people...so very friendly and sweet.

by o00o

Brunei is a little slice of Islamic heaven. Alcohol is virtually unobtainable, there's no nightlife to speak of, and the political culture encourages quiet acquiescence to the edicts of the sultan. The folk of Brunei are amply rewarded for their conformist ways with free healthcare, free education, free sporting centres, cheap loans and high, tax-free wages. by AliJoe

Bandar Seri Begawan is a capital of Brunei Darussalam. The country's physical geography and historically the preference of Malays for coastal estuarine settlements, largely determined its pattern of settlement. Even today, many of its inhabitants live over the water in houses built on stilts in what is known as the largest KAMPONG AYER or water village in the Southeast. Cushioning the cultural shock when you land in in Brunei......that's probably the most traumatic thing you face, once the night falls.Unlike most Asean capitals, where nightlife ends in the wee hours and food outlets open for 24 hours. Bandar Seri Begawan is uniquely for the *early birds*. Buses stop operating before sunset (Taxi / cab ride to town will cost you $20-$30 ). Most shops close as early as 5pm though Supermarket stay opened until 10pm. This early phenomenon leaves little for nocturnal activities. In short,...

Enjoy watching the sunset with its natural colour illuminating the buildings in the centre of the capital. The colour sky with bands of multitude colours made you wonder whether is this a real thing or not!

by evelynchaw

Enjoy the natural state unspoilt beaches along the coast. Sunsets are beautiful to watch especially with many colours ranges throughout the year. The sun sets usually at 6.25 pm to 6.50pm each evening and it varies at different day throughout the year. Watch out for joggers and cars driving along the beach. Remembered picking up buckets of fishes scattered on shore after a big fishing trawler has left after happy with their 'big' catch sometime ago. Used to see many nice sea shells but it seemed that only small shells found being remnants from fishermen after their evening catch.
