The Jerudong Park Polo Club is about 10 minutes drive from the Empire Hotel, and this polo club is a symbol of luxury and royalty in Brunei because it is catered for the rich and famous (which include the royal family of Brunei of course).
I have a change to get a glimpse of this polo club because part of my work meeting in July 2007 was held at one of the main halls of this polo club. Please visit the travelogue section of this VT page for photos of the architecture of the hall. Go to part 2 of this tip.

If you are staying at the Lagoon Wing or East Wing of the Empire Hotel & Country Club, there is a relatively isolated beach near to this section of the hotel. As the hotel area is very big, the best way to walk around is to get a map of the entire area, which you can obtain from the check-in counter at the main lobby area.
