Nightlife in Brunei?? Nothing except de Roy@lle C@fe on Jalan Sultan if you are insomniac, for a fruit juice or a café, (till 1 a.m.) but you can walk in the empty streets breathing a bit of fresh air changing from the conditioned one from your hotel room. Coffee is expensive (3.2 B$) compared to the meals at the food stalls, but it is real expresso. Friendly staff. The owner is a columnist at the local Borneo Bulletin newspaper and will certainly have a chat with you, if he is around. Theme: OtherAddress: Jalan SultanDirections: city

Sultan Omar Ali Saiffudin Mosque Walk around the mosque at night; everything is quiet and the green lights of the mosque provide for the ambience, and look at the concrete boat in front of the mosque.

by Xinta At night, there is nothing much to do in Brunei. You can hardly see a pub anywhere around. The only real night life would be in Jerudong Park. This Tower is taken in Jerudong Park. You will get a splendid view from up there. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

There is none. The only entertainment at night is to watch cable TV or to visit the Jerudong amusement park...which used to be free. I was told they charge B$2 for entry now. Otherwise, you could still visit some of the coffee places that open till 12am (?). A few of them have pool tables. One of them is the Coffee Bean at Gadong. The Jerudong Park is very well maintained and very clean. You can find most amusement park rides here. A fun place for the kids and the young at heart!
Whatever you want, as long as you're dressed (decently)! Leave a Comment Theme: Family Spot

Sadly, Brunei doesn't have a night life as in the West. That means no bars (alcohol is banned), no casinos, no pool tables, no arcades, no night clubs, no dance floors, and very few live performances. This is in accordance with the muslim way of life. Obviously, there are places of party and dance which exist here, but they're underground..... save the night life for bangkok or kuala lumpur. Sad as it sounds, the closest thing to a night scene are the coffee bars in Gadong..... near BSB. That is a point of activity for the young. So, if you wanna be hip, head for starbucks and order yourself an espresso (at 10pm)
The norm is to wear sunglasses...... even though its dark outside!! (just follow the locals..... afterall, its the 'cool' thing here). Seriously, you can wear anything from formal to downright sloppy i.e. slippers and shorts. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingDirections: Gadong Centrepoint, Gadong
