The sultan's gift
This is an attraction park, build for the Brunean 15 years ago; it was gratis until recently, but now you have to pay to have a ride on one of the attractions (chenille, grand huit, etc….) ; it is a sort of a mini Disneyworld, with all sorts of attractions. I spent about 5 mn there, it was enough for me! Near Jerudong, 15 mn drive from downtown.
Unique Suggestions: Watch the people
Fun Alternatives: take care of many "parks"Related to:

Money exchange rates are about 20% better in Bandar Seri Begawan than at the airport.
Also keep in mind that it is VERY difficult to exchange Brunei $ outside of Brunei.
A little known fact is that the Singaporean dollar is exchanged in Brunei on a 1:1 basis and they have exchange rate parity. You may be best getting Singaporean dollars instead particularly if you are heading to another country in East Asia after Brunei.
Unique Suggestions: Don't cash more than you need to when arriving at the airport.Related to:

The ab-original inhabitants of Borneo used to live in long houses which were like a village concentrated in one huge house.
The Labi longhouses are located along along the road to Labi or at Teraja, end of the road in the forest, they are huge, on stilts, with many constructions added at the back. Nothing exceptionnal with these houses, and the people living there are like you and me, yhey possibly did not want to be disturbed by a tourist, I did not visit them, I was not invited and did not make pictures of their private area. Tourist trap, because the people are not there to be touristic attractions. They have “official” welcome signs in front of their house.
Unique Suggestions: Don't go
Fun Alternatives: Walk in the forest nearby, people may want to look waht you are doing thereRelated to:

Same rules as in other muslim...
Same rules as in other muslim countries, take off the shooes if you are going into a mosque, never use your left hand to doo something and never show with your finger to persons or what ever. No 'offensice' cloathing for women...
DOn't go to Serasa beach.......
DOn't go to Serasa beach.... It was truly beautiful, a natural spit that has been cut, dredged and the remnants have been polluted utterly by the ships and the frequent visitors.
Go to Jerudong beach instead. Its deserted. Its funny..... great beautiful beaches, which the locals try to destroy or if they don't they never ever use it.
Don't change currency at the airport!
If you do change currency at the airport, you would lose a lot of money. Better to withdraw on one of the ATM in the city (I am not sure if there is an ATM in Brunei Airport as I never seen one)Related to:
