    Yeti

I believe this kind of Monk is a Yeti. A class of Non-ordained hermit Monk. I read that in the LP guide and he is the only one that I saw dressed like this while I was there. So ...It's really only a guess...sorry. But he seemed in Deep meditation...or bored

    Yeti in prayer

    Yeti

The Yeti was praying to the Buddha at the base of the main stupa. I'm not really sure what level of monkhood a yeti is. I had read about them in the Lonely Planet guide and felt lucky that one had come to visit when I was there.

    Cute Kids

These cute kids wouldn't pose properly for their parents and the parents were becoming upset. They finally agreed to pose in the end.

Hey! Where did the ball go?

Sometimes the ball would get hidden amongst the small stupas! All I would hear is giggling and the patter of foot steps. They would eventually find the ball and resume the game.

    A view of the Mountain

    Mt Popa

On a clear day with the sun in a different position and this would be a much more beautiful setting. But I had the sun directly behind the mountain.
