Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: There are hundreds of temples to visit, and shoes must be taken off before entry to every one. This is often required when walking in the area around the temple as well. So, even though its very dusty, its wise and practical to take footwear that is easy to get on and off.
Luggage and bags:
When you visit the temples take a backpack with pen/notebook with you so that you can write all the details about the name of the pagoda/temple - guaranteed you'll forget and it will be hard for you to identify them from photos later. Torch because you might have the opportunity to climb some "dark stairs".
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For women no sleeveless shirts or shorts.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Toilets non existent around the pagodas/temples
Miscellaneous: Pack your binoculars. Getting to almost any vantage point in the Bagan historical park, affords you an opportunity to look over the vast area, and there are temples dotted as far as the eye - and lens - can see.
Luggage and bags:
I always use a small backpack as some daily small items are necessary also deters theft.
The most IMPORTANT item to carry is lots of fresh bottled Water..
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The tropical climate can be harsh so make sure that you always have ..good Walking/Hiking Boots. A wide brimmed hat for sun protection, also sun glasses. Also I ALWAYS carry a small rolled up Poncho that also covers my backpack as storms happen anytime here in the tropics....
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: The neccesaries I carry may seem a lot but are small and light and are:
Tube of Sunscreen cream. at least 30+
A small tube of Lip Balm.
A small tube of Moisturising cream.
A couple of band aid strips.
A good strong Mosquito and Insect Repellant is a must here as Malaria and Dengue fever are prevelant.
A packet of wet ones .. not only for the heat but to wipe small injuries.
A packet of tissues. just in case the roll is empty!!
A small bottle of hand snitiser as a lot of food is eaten by hand.
Photo Equipment: Dont go without your Battery charger for your camera battery and an extra photo memory card ..An International power point adaptor is a must..
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: I ALWAYS carry a self charging torch here as the streets have no lighting and inside the many temples is really dark
Light cotton clothes, hat (if you decide to use bicycles) and sandals or slippers as you often have to take them off while you visit the temples
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sun lotion and water supplies
Photo Equipment: Your digicam with plenty of space in your memory card
Miscellaneous: You may have to ride a bike at night. It's really dark in Bagan at night, so make sure you have a good flashlight with you.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
Sun Tan lotion is a must throughout the whole year.
As you can see from the pic, the sun in the afternoon will kill your skin.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Torch light will be helpful if you intend to stay after the sunset. Besides, you may need the torch light when you're in some temples where are really dark inside.
Photo Equipment: You wouldn't know how many shots you would take during your stay in the desert and it's miles away from the town. So, bring enough digicam memory cards and battery for all the wonderful shots.
