This two storey temple built by king Narathihapate was my first encounter with the magnificence of bagan. I spent more than an hour enjoying the views of the fileds, temples and payas from the four sides of it´s upper level. It has some stone plates intended to receive the jatakas, that i didn´t see in other temples.

This is one of my fav temple. From outside this temple looks different from the others. Comprising of two cubes, one above the other. The bottom larger cube contains 4 buddha statues placed in 4 direction each. Climbed up to the next level is another cube again with 4 buddha statues placed in 4 different directions. Tip: the paranomic view on the top level is fantastic. Somemore this temple is deserted, you can enjoy the whole view all by yourself.
