After having eaten lunch at Green Elephant in Bagan (which was one of the meals we enjoyed most) we tried our luck in their restaurant in Mandalay.
The setting of the restaurant is nothing special (no views) but the grounds are very well kept with a scent of luxury (everything was wooden and nicely decorated). I wish food could follow the same, as portions were tiny and certainly expensive for what you get. As it was logical it was only tourist oriented. If you want ambience and you don't care about your money then this might be the place. If you're budget conscious or you want to eat well then better avoid it. There are more authentic options.

This restaurant is very much a restaurant that caters for people(mainly tourists) who want to eat reasonable food in good surroundings. The restaurant is an outdoor, covered restaurant that is surrounded by lush vegetation and a number of eager staff. The food itself is a mixture of Thai, Indian and Burmese. The owner is a Thai which might explain the standard of service and the surroundings.
We enjoyed it so much we went there twice! This explains the two photos.
BTW the guys decided they liked Myanmar Beer better than Mandalay!
Favorite Dish: The grilled fish curry, vegetable curry.
