The name of this small place might be fairly prosaic, and, indeed, so is the food, but none the less tasty for that. It is straightforward, well-cooked and authentic Nepali curries served in a no frills setting.
The second photo shows the friendly young lad who spoke little English (although English menus are provided), served me quickly and kept refilling my dhal bowl until I had to ask him to stop!
Ordinarily, I'm a carnivore but it's certainly worth forgoing your meat intake for one of the gorgeous veggie curries served here with all the accompaniments At under 1 USD for your whole lunch (with a bottle of water - much needed in the heat), it won't break the bank either.
The third photo shows the shrine in the restaurant, and I thought it gave an interesting insight into the way religion seems to work in Myanmar (and, indeed, Nepal). Hindu gods and Buddha images seem to co-exist quite happily together in the same shrine - surely a lesson to be learnt there, I think.
Favorite Dish: The ptoato curry.
