Favorite thing: The main street of Nyaung U isn't a big wide road it's a paved road with a sandy shoulder. Also watch for holes in the "sidewalks" as there are open pits along the road that you could easily step into if you weren't paying attention....actually you could step in them even if your were paying attention!! It would suck to have something happen in Nyaung U as I don't believe the medical standards are the same as in the West.

Favorite thing: There might be times when ya just want to get out of the scorching sun? You can find some makeshift shades that also might be some sort of bus stop or truck stop. I'm not sure. But I always saw people hanging out under the shades.

Favorite thing: This is just a shot from one of the Tea stalls. It was nice just watching life pass by. One of my favorite pastimes if I'm not wandering is sitting at a teashop watching the world go by.

I liked the atmosphere of Nyuang U. It is a small town that offered lot's of small guesthouses to take care of the lower end traveler. There are plenty of tea shops and places to eat offering all...
