When you eat in a tea shop or get a cup of tea the "waiter" will provide you table with various snacks. Those will only be paid for if you eat them. So if you don't want to pay just leave them on the plate. You will be given a glass of Sweet Tea that costs very little and then the chinese tea is in a jug on the table and that seemed to be free to wash it all down. If sure it's not free if you just walk up and start drinking it. But if you've made another purchase it is. Or if I was charged it was so small that it didn't register with me. As My son and I would usually get 1 soda , 1 sweet tea and a couple of snacks and the total bill would be aroun 100-200 kyat. US$.22 cents Max!

Quench was one of my son's favorite thirst quenchers in Myanmar. It is a local brand similar to Sprite but was very cheap!
