If you have time to wander through the Nyaung U neighborhoods do it!! The people are so friendly and they will take the time to talk with you! Alot of people speak English well enough to carry on a general conversation and it makes for such a nice experience. (In my opinion) LOL I don't think very many people make an effort to get into the neighborhoods. We didn't have much time but we made a detour and we had a grand time!!

I liked the atmosphere of Nyuang U. It is a small town that offered lot's of small guesthouses to take care of the lower end traveler. There are plenty of tea shops and places to eat offering all...
