Moulemein was the capital of British Burma. after independence, it became the capital of smuggling from Thailand. A large number of Bangladeshis arrived to swell the already a sizable portion of south indian muslims. There are sunni and other moslem prayer halls. of the three in the main street, i liked this one best, with its turquoise paint.
