After the long hot sweaty hike we stopped at the river at the bottom of the hill on our walk back to the boat and took our shirts off and rinsed them out! It felt really good to put those wet shirts on. It was so hot! Our shirts were dry in about 5 minutes. The water is quite cool as it is a mountain stream.

One of the things I like to do is find the small passageways in the Temples. I always find the lighting fascinating. And they can quite often have a cool breeze blowing through them which is a nice break when sometimes the temps outside are 100º F or 38º C!

If you walk past the main area of the Shwe In Tein you can see some of the old Pagodas with trees growing on them. It reminded me of last years trip to Ta Phrom in Cambodia. For me it's nice to see and I hope that when the locals get around to restoring these Pagodas that they won't remove some of these beautiful sites!

At the top of the hill we checked out the Shwe In Tain Pagoda and then decided to continue hiking up the hill for a short distance. I was hoping that there was another village close by but we weren't able to see one. And our boat man thought we would return in about 45 minutes but we were gone over 2 hours.

If you keep hiking past the main Temple complex at the top of the hill you can find a few other hidden gems off the main trail.
