Favorite thing: I'm assuming that most people are expert boatsmen (women) starting at an early age as everything is water based. Boats came in various sizes. Some of the boats are quite long.

Favorite thing: If you live on the canal you have to have a boat to get around. There aren't roads connecting all of the inner areas so you would have to take a boat home.
