You will see some people sitting down rowing their boats and some people standing. The long boats had the feeling of levitation as they glided through the glassy canals.

I wanted to ask what the lady was doing as she seemed quite concerned. Maybe pulling up weeds? Or maybe looking for some squirming lake creature? I should've asked her.

This guy was looking for the fish to surface near his boat then he would throw his net over the fish.

There were alot of weed gatherers. Which did 2 jobs in one. It got rid of the ever growing weeds from the canal and gave the farmers some great fertilizer.

The area around the canal is so scenic. I could have shot even more pictures than I did. I really enjoyed the quietness of the late afternoon. No motorised boats drove in this area.

Most of the homes in the area seemed to be wooden or of some thatch type weave. And they were also on stilts as during the rainy season the level of the lake can rise a couple of feet.

Along the canals of Inle Lake there were quite a few water buffalos that loved standing in the water up to their necks. There was usually a young boy around that seemed to be in charge of them.
