These ladies were all sychronised with working their feet and adding all of the threads to make the beautiful patterns without making mistakes! I was amazed! I would've messed up in the first 3 seconds!

I love the clicking sound that the looms in the big room made as the ladies worked in the same traditions of times gone by. They were so intune with what they were doing! Sadly their pay is very, very low.

You can watch the various stages of silk weaving and preparing for the weave. It is quite interesting(to me) to see the spinning wheels still being operated by hand. The ladies operated them flawlessly!

The local homes have to be raised off the ground as the village is located right on the edge of the lake and during the rainy season the level of the lake rises by as much as 3 feet is what a couple of the locals told me. That would be an amazing amount of water to raise the level of the whole lake so much.

Some of the designs that were done on the looms were very intricate and so beautiful. Some of the designs took 2 ladies more than a week to make enough fabric for one longyi!
