Most of the travelers did and visited Shwedagon , sule , ChaukHete Kyi pagoda and etc . But , they didn't know to get the fresh and see the Yangon city view form the Yangon river (Hlaing river ) . In the evening , they should try to ride small boat along the river to see the birds and feed them and see the Yangon City view from the River Yangon .

Vale la pena hacer una visita al puerto, donde se pueden seguir los trabajos de carga y descarga de los barcos que van por el Yangon y que van por el delta
Tiene un gran colorido e impresionan por su dureza
It really pays the visit to the harbour , where you may follow the loading and unloading of the ships that go by the Yangon River and that reach the delta
It is very colourful and you get impressed with its hardness

Somehow we ended up in a building checking things out and we were drawn to the top to see the view and we came out on top of Naraspuri Moja (Mosque). We did have some great views over the city from up there too. And in one of the lower levels we came across a restaurant serving snake and snake blood!

This street was very typical of the the residential side streets that ran between the main roads of Yangon. The buildings all seemed to be about 5 stories tall. I don't know if that is building code are what the style was. But each home would be painted a different color which made for a beautiful mix! Pinks, yellows, greens and blues seemed to be the popular colors.

Merchant St became a quiet street in on parts of it and just bustling on other parts in the early evening. Many of the shops closed up by 5:30 PM and shuttered the doors. It was a nice cool time to wander around...the heat of the day was disappearing!!

This sort of street seemed very typical of the smaller side streets in the morning...people just walking to school/work. In these areas it was very quiet as there wasn't much vehicle traffic...people either rode bicycles or walked. There are quite a few trees growing from the sidewalks all around Yangon which was very nice to see!

Q: Does anyone know where to find new, unused US Dollar notes in Singapore for travelling in Yangon? I have been to the money...

A: Just a thought - would Western Union or American Express be able to oblige? If you find a solution, do let me know as my son will be travelling there after Christmas.
