This popular place is frequented by tourists, locals and the few expats that are here in Burma. It is one of those places where, as a westerner, it is easy to just relax for a while. I can sit here by myself, reading a book or something like that, without people coming up to me to talk or wave their hand in my face in a gesture of hello. Something that happens every so often.
The food is good. They even have a vegetarian burger (which in this case is a BURGER and not a roll with some vegetables and mayo has some other places around Yangon serve...)
There are at least 2 other Aroma places (that i know of). One is in the Yankin Center Shopping Mall and the other is next to the Park Royal Hotel.. But tho this one i've never been. The Aroma in the Yankin Center is a small place in the middle of the mall. Nice for people watching but not worth going out of your way for.
I was here a while ago and was rather disappointed with the restaurant. It used to be better but now i think there are far better options if you want western food. The only advantage of the Aroma on Sule Pagoda Rd is that it is easy to find and easy to get too.
Favorite Dish: The veggie burger. Since i can't get it anywhere else ;-)
