I had Chicken biriyani from this restaurant. It is really tasty and combination is a little bit different from South Indian style. Chicken is prepared very nicely although some may feel excess oil. All together I loved it. Combination was Briyani + Potato Soup+ green chilly + finely sliced cabage

Favorite Dish: I decided to visit this restaurant again and will update about other dishes

Nilar Biryani restaurant, Yangon, Myanmar.

If you are in downtown Yangon (Rangoon) and want an extremely filling and inexpensive lunch (it doesn't stay open too late) you could do a lot worse than this place. For a mere 800 kyat (about 80cents US) you get a large plate of biryani (various types available), umlimited dhal and a selection of condiments. i have to say the lime pickle was the best I have ever tasted anywhere, and that includes India and the stuff I made myself!

No alcohol is served but there is a selection of soft drinks available.

The place is always packed and the service is quick and friendly. Certainly no frills but a great deal.

Favorite Dish: Mutton biryani - delicious.
